Mission

We believe that God is sovereign over all things—including evil and suffering. Yet we also believe that He does not approve of evil or desire that people (or creation) suffer. What then do we make of the pervasive violence in nature? What do we make of the cleverly adapted parasite that ravages its host?

History

The Roberta Winter Institute (RWI) was founded in 2001 by Dr. Ralph D. Winter following the death of his first wife, Roberta Winter, from cancer. Dr. Winter published several articles in the book Frontiers in Mission and sponsored a consultation in Chicago, IL in 2006 to discuss the implications of disease on Christian outreach.
